"Excellent informal dining on the square in “new town” Vaison la Romaine. We were looking for food at 5 PM and had been turned away from multiple restaurants (too early). The friendly waiter here offered to serve us “crepes” with ham, cheese, and eggs. This turned out to be a French dish known as a “galette” made with super nutritious buckwheat (sarrasin in French) and the above ingredients. It was delicious! We definitely recommend this place."
"This place is a sleeper. If you like sitting in a warm cozy dining room, which is not too noisy, with a mixed crowd of tourists and locals, and excellent service, AND if you like tasty food and almost unbelievably low prices, this is your place. For the two of us, with starters, main, and drinks, it came to 47 Euros. I was astonished. I had the snails first, then the fish (cabaillaud) and it was a huge portion. We had to pass on dessert, although the gentleman next to me was enjoying his mousse au chocolat and it was a generous serving....Overall, a real treat, an unexpected surprise."
"The absolute worst food and especially worst service during our cycling trip. Did not get the wine we ordered, didn't even get napkins. Duck tasted like the food in a school cafeteria - or I might be unfair to the school cafeteria. Some great restaurants do exist here, luckily."
"We grabbed a spot outside looking onto the town square, the interiors look very plush. Our waiter was welcoming & prompt - we grabbed a cafe latte and an Americano. The latte had yummy caramel sauce drizzled on top - a perfect little pick me up before site seeing!"
"Nowhere near as good as it used to be Menu mediocre bit of a mishmash of dishes ( who wants sushi in Provence?) Used to be one of the best brasseries in Vaison."
