"From the moment we arrived here in our Tiny home caravan, we were made to feel so welcome. Christina and Colin could not be more helpful. The site was just pure nature and tranquillity at it's best. We parked in the shade near the stream. Every day we watched the dragonflies and damsel flies dancing around. It was so peaceful and lovely here that our three night stay turned into a 7 night stay. ( We are on a 3 month tour of central France). Even then we were reluctant to leave. Thank you Christina and Colin for a wonderful stay."
"We were taking a leisurely trip down to the Dordogne so chose this as our first stop, as it’s only a few hours from Calais, and not far from the beautiful village of Gerberoy which we wanted to visit. ||Fantastic location by a river and with a working watermill in situ ( although not actively in operation on our visit unfortunately ) and some wonderful grounds. ||Room was typical of a basic “Logis” hotel, comfortable with everything that we needed, including some views of the countryside. ||TIP: If you’re a light sleeper, some rooms face the direction of the railway line which runs close to the hotel. Whilst it didn’t bother us, there is some noise through the night.||Restaurant was great with a decent selection of “formules” ( set menus ), and a decent wine list to match. Service was of the typical French efficiency.||Breakfast was typical French style, the basics ( croissants etc ) with some ham, cheese and yoghurts as well. ||All in all we paid about £180 for DBB for the 2 of us which we thought was pretty reasonable, as this including drinks as well."
"As we intended to visit Gerberoy, we searched for a hotel close by. And this one, being 25 minutes drive away sounded perfect. Located in the middle of fields on the bank of a river.||We stayed 2 nights and dined each night in a glass enclosed area between the river and the mill. We had a carafe of chilled white wine while we browsed the menu. Dishes we tried varied from salad gourmand and terrine du chef to porc mignon with morels and scallops with prawns. Although it was very busy,we were well looked after by the young staff. And everything was accompanied by wine from a varied and well priced wine list.It was all very well cooked and presented.||Our bedroom and bathroom were simple, clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here and hope to return.||'"
"Stayed here with a colleague on a work trip through France. Decided to stay somewhere with character rather than in a chain hotel in Beauvais - and both really pleased we did. Our rooms were each small but immaculately clean and with a great shower. |The restaurant was wonderful. We sat in front of the log fire and enjoyed the food immensely (and the view onto the old waterwheel turning). |It's family run with loads of home made dishes. I ate and loved the confit duck as well as the tarte tatin. |This place is terrific value and the setting with the Mill stream etc is lovely. If needing to stay in this area again I'll be sure to try and stay here."
"Booked en route to the South of France. This is an excellent stopover in Northern France. Excellent evening meal with similarly accompanying wine. Breakfast was of a buffet style of a good standard. Rooms were basic, but again no real complaints. Lovely location with a lovely millstream. Happy to return on our next French hols."
