Château du Grand-Pré à Vitrolles-en-Luberon

"I visited this castle just because it was supposed to be "before renewing". and it was like an old Bugatti coming out from a barn after ages of freezing. The outside of the castle is elegant but strict: it doesn't let you imagine that inside, it is splendid , rich, noble, as from Louis XIV time. Even without restauration, this beauty jump up at the first glance inside. Everything inside is incredibely well conserved. There is no furniture at all, but it doesn't matter ,as you have true old walpapers, true gypse sculptures everywhere, beautyfull ceilings. Not enouth words to describe the charming atmosphere and the surprise: it is something like a miracle to have the opportunity to visit this castle. So it is definitely the most surprising that you can visit in Luberon. And you may visit it each year, according to enhancements. Specialy the garden, promising much more than what you can imagine today. Thanks a lot to the guide lady: it was only the third visit since it oppened, but the knowledge of the history was already there and she was so in love with the house and the sight....Perfect."
