"Spectacular objects on display!!! The ground floor hosts temporary exhibitions. The first floor offers, in the first room, items found in the cave, consisting of weapons, tools, sculpted, engraved or decorated objects, including a masterpiece of Paleolithic art: the majestic sculpted thruster known as the bird fawn discovered by Marthe and Saint-Just Péquart. There is also the so-called Magda skull, long presented as the only human vestige of the Mas-d'Azil cave. In the second room are exposed painted pebbles characteristic of the Azilian culture."
"Local history museum, which is worth visiting after the Mas D'Azil cave, since the exposed objects have been retrieved there. The museum is small and is set in a traditional South Western France house. The staff is friendly. Interesting aspect: the entrance is free if you visited the Mas d'Azil cave. Else, it's a whopping 11€."
